Wisdom Teeth Removal

By Yvonne Brixey

There is no doubt that your teeth are very sensitive. When you have a toothache it is a constant pain that does not go away and you cannot ignore it. Then you go to the dentist and get it treated and it still hurts! Your wisdom teeth only grow in when you become of age and when they do it is a perfect example of this tooth pain we are talking about.

Wisdom teeth only do not grow in for ten percent of the people. The rest get to experience an extra set of molars growing in on the top and bottom of their mouth. Wisdom teeth usually grow in between ages 16-25. For a lot of people it hurts when their wisdom teeth grow in and it is hard for them to even eat food. Wisdom teeth only need to be removed by surgery if they are not growing in the proper position or are impacted. If your wisdom teeth are growing in straight they can be pulled just like a normal tooth is pulled.

In some cases wisdom teeth only have problems with the nerves in their mouth surrounding the teeth. In this case the teeth will need to be surgically removed. The nerves in your mouth are very sensitive and need to be worked with properly with oral surgery. Oral surgery involving the root canal can be painful for the patients and time consuming for a dentist.

Of course nobody likes to have any procedure done at the dentist. If you delay going into the dentist, your wisdom teeth only get worse as time goes on. Problems can occur and the pain will become more intense. It will eventually get so bad that you will not be able to stand it. A visit to the dentist will make everything better in the long run. You may not like it at the time, but your wisdom teeth will get taken care of and you will have no pain when it is all healed. Do not be worried about the operation. The oral surgeon will give you sedatives so that you are relaxed and may even put you all the way to sleep. A wisdom teeth only dentist will do a great job in removing your problem teeth and making you feel better.

Wisdom teeth only need to be surgically removed if they are compacted or growing in a weird way. If they are growing in straight and everything looks good, the dentist will simply pull the tooth like any other tooth. If you are very nervous about your oral surgery, find a dentist who is professional and will be able to calm you down. An experienced and skilled dentist and oral surgeon will understand how scared you are and will know what to do to make you more comfortable. Although the use of sedatives will add an extra step to the procedure, it will be worth it for you to get so that you can relax. If you are relaxed the dentist can better do his job. Make the call and set up your wisdom teeth extraction right away.
