Finding Arcades And Attractions In Toronto Is Easy

By Adriana Noton

If you ask someone outside of the country what they think about Canada, you'll most likely be met with vague sentences about cold weather, Celine Dion, and overly nice people. What the recent Winter Olympics began hinting at, however, is how Canada is a dynamic and beautiful nation full of dazzling cities and a people who embrace all cultures and have their eyes on the future. Considered the financial capital, Toronto is the largest city in the nation and located within the province of Ontario. Visiting or living here mean you have access to all manner of arcades and attractions in Toronto.

In terms of being a city with an eye on the future, Toronto boast a clean and efficient public transit system and has recently wired the area as a whole through a city-wide wi-fi network. With a population in the millions, this was no easy feet and just reiterates the city's commitment to moving forward.

This is done through the dozens and dozens of amusement halls and arcades that are strewn about the city. The games you play depend entirely on what sort of night you want to have. There are arcades that are filled to the brim with the most cutting edge games and virtual reality, or you can spend your time playing pinball, skeeball, or air hockey.

With so many of these businesses, finding the right one you want to go to can be confusing. It's best to ask around from friends or, if you're new in town, download an app that will link into websites that are devoted to the arts and culture of Toronto and can point you in the direction of new experiences.

It isn't all just fun and games, however, in Toronto. This city is thriving and similar in feel to New York in that you see the influence of various cultures and ethnicities everywhere you go.

Another world renowned food destination can be found at St. Lawrence Market. Every single Saturday this sprawling building is home to a farmer's market that has been going strong for 200 years and includes over 50 gourmet food vendors. Not content to just offer food, the market also hosts an antique fair every Sunday.

Attractions are numbered in, conceivably, the hundreds. There is always something to do here in town. Like with many highly populated areas, shopping is at a premium and tourists flock to the Eaton Centre every day.

Considering this is a mall, however, many residents like to scour the different shops that are strewn throughout town that are related to the different ethnicities. There is exciting shopping to be had with Greek, Portuguese, and Indian flavors to name only a handful.

Another fantastic place to spend the day is at the Waterfront. Similar to Chicago, you can find a number of museums and science centers build against a beautiful backdrop. This environment also hosts the many festivals that come to town including the Toronto International Film Festival, or TIFF. TIFF has become a major player in the cinema circuit and has been the premiere for a variety of future Oscar contenders. Find out what Toronto has to offer today!
